About Us

Elevation is not just a housing cooperative; we are a Christian social enterprise that aims to serve all people through co-ownership of our homes and mutual cooperation. Our members are families struggling to make ends meet in London's insecure and overpriced private rented sector and are ineligible for social housing.

Our mission is to provide genuinely affordable housing and mutual aid. In doing so we activate stability & growth and an investment in people so that there would be "no needy persons" among us.

A not-for-profit cooperative society, we purchase (and hope to someday build) homes in the north London area with loans, grants and donations and rent them to our members at affordable rents with secure tenancies.

Our story is still evolving and we would love to have you be part of it.

Our Purpose

Simply put: We want to end housing insecurity for everyone.
We achieve it through cooperative ownership of affordable private rented homes. Each member has an equal say about, and responsibility for, the effective running of our social enterprise. As a not-for-profit, our bottom lines are stability and growth of our community.

Our Values

Our values are simple:
(1) Everyone deserves the security of a good quality home that they can afford.
(2) Investment should look not only to our own interests but also the interest of others
(3) To serve others as faithful stewards of God's goodness and grace

Our Model

We buy & renovate and/or build homes with funding from partners and members.
We offer our members homes that meets their housing need and is affordable to them (at between 80% - 100% market value and not exceeding 40% of their net household income).

Meet our Management Committee

They are practically part of the furniture here, so we asked to them to show & tell you about their favourite place in their homes.
